Eve Ingraham
Painting & Jewelry
Eve Ingraham works in watercolor, pastel and mixed media. She is also a jewelry artist with a distinctive look. Both mediums are inspired by her love of nature and travel. She is inspired by a“ sense of place” that draws you into the memory of that moment.
An experienced jewelry artist, Eve makes one-of-a-kind or unique design series work. Eve loves to combine gems with individual handmade components. She works in fine silver, sterling and mixed metals always trying to create an intuitive “wow” moment where the piece transcends the materials into simple beauty. Eve loves to showcase the luster of metal and the power of gems. She also creates woven metal work. Eve Ingraham found her love of painting while teaching young children. After forty years in the classroom, Eve says “she now finds joy daily with a paintbrush in her hand.“ She just returned from a painting trip to Spain, France and Hawaii. The Northwest is also a place that Eve loves to sketch and paint, city scenes, water and mountain views. She works in watercolor, pastel and mixed media. Eve has studied art at the University of Washington, Frye Art through Seattle Pacific University, and Pratt Art. Eve is a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society , the Northwest Pastel Society and Seattle CoArts. “When a scene inspires an artist to tell a story in paint, each stroke is like a line in a poem.” |
